===== History=====
Arata grew up in the slums and saw a lot of crime as he attended an over crowded school. This taught him the ways of crime and inspired him to stop it. At first he wanted to be a cop. That changed over time as he saw cops committing more crime than the criminals he wanted to stop. He became a Private Detective. He worked on a sliding pay scale based on the income those who hired him. This meant he often worked for free. He occasionally had run ins with the local police force. This was due to both his legal activities (pinning cops for their own wrong doings) and his illegal activities (bending some laws for the greater good.) 

Eventually, Arata did meet up with a straight cop on the force, Jan Hinataro. Jan was tired of the corruption and was considering quitting. Arata convinced him to fight the good fight a little while longer. This was mainly to help himself out of jams. The team work eventually lead to Arata being hired as a "consultant" for the local police force. He was hired as some one who was not known as a cop and as some one who had contacts in the underworld.

===== Mrs. Masahiko=====
Mrs. Masahiko met Arata in high-school. She was his first girlfriend. They married shortly after high-school and found a modest apartment not far from their homes. She never approved of Arata's career choice and has no problem with telling him such, especially when he gets wounded or is missing for more than an hour. No problem letting him know at all... 

At least she is a fantastic cook.
