More industrial than it's hot neighbor Marion is also regional trade post for goods on their way to [[.:Providence]]. Staunchly conservative, Marionites often look down on their lawless and wild neighbors in [[.:Lafayette]], and the more rebellious systems in the border regions. Marion also dominates Lafayette politically, and through ancient trickery was able to get the planets represented by a single seat at the Commonwealth Congress. Their representative nearly always votes how the Milbury Alliance (which Lafayette does not participate in) instructs.
