Founded over a thousand years ago it has survived war and famine and has continuously produced the best and strongest Mages, Wizards, Conjurers, Spiritualists, Magi, and Seers that the world has ever seen. <html></p></html>
Founding
<html><p style=“float: left;width: 55%;”></html> The Academy was founded in the 73rd year of the 4th Age. Though most believe it to have always been a school of magic It was originally founded as monastic order to Moira. Only the Deans of the Academy and the Arch Mage are privy to the true origins of the school. <html></p></html>
Transition to Academy
<html><p style=“float: left;width: 55%;”></html> The Monastic Order of Moira was once for only the most devout followers of Moira. The gates of the monastery would only open for those who could prove their faith. As war came to the land people would flock to the walls in search of protection. Knowing that opening the walls of the Order to the public would be altering fate. As time passed and the monks became more wise in their studies they came to the conclusion that, with great prayer and study, they could alter the fates of some individuals around them and stay within Moira's will. <html></p></html> <html><p style=“float: left;width: 55%;”></html> Eventually war came directly to the walls and the monks prayed for salvation from the war and nothing changed. The monks were cast out of the monastery and it became a temporary base for 7 months. Once the war was over several of the monks returned but with much less vigor for the worship of their goddess. They came to the conclusion that they should be the masters of their own fate. With this they turned to magic. Shaping the world around them became the easiest way to change fate. As their powers grew they began to help those around them change their fate with magic. Soon people came to them to learn magic. The academy was born. <html></p></html>
