The Sider-gate (or Irongates) is the fortress city that guards the largest pass through the Kapias mountains separating Agothos from Pyrkagia. The city served at the historic capitol of both the Thema Pryelli under the Republic and the Pryellmarck state. Whether ruled by a Despotate or March-lord, Sidergate was considered an impenetrable bastion. The source of its defenses were not limited to high walls and an internal spring, but ancient wards and spells laid into the foundations by a mad mage-king in the Second Age.
