Qhashdean

One of the oldest expressions of the classical pantheon, the qashdean religion arranges the gods in a “Divine Council” with El (Chronos) chief among them. The Qhashdean faith sees the gods as distant, distracted, or arbitrary, and focuses on ritual to gain their attention and negotiate favor. In this view only elite rulers have any hope of succeeding in this endeavor, and it is the duty of the people to support their rulers, who in turn are to pray for people's benefit.

The Qhashdean faith is highly relational and transactional, with spiritual matters often viewed through the lens of vassalage and tribute.

Qhashdeans have established schools of magi, who view magic as a way to study the gods and improve the methods of obtaining their favor. These magi schools formed the basis of the off-shoot Yazta faith.
