An arcane religion originating in Qhashdea. Yaztans see the Qhashdean pantheon as a spiritual hierarchy to climb, with the chief god El being associated with the monad. Similar to the traditional Qhashdean priesthood, Yazta magi seek to learn the mysteries of the cosmos through regulated use of magic. Unlike traditional Qhashdeanism, Yazta arcanists believe the path to re-joining with El, particularly the material world, is filled with illusion and misdirection. They therefore focus more on mystical and occult research instead of rational study, as they consider the limitations of the senses and logic to make rigorous inquiry unreliable.
