Dorin Relithys was the first president of the United Free People's Federation.

Pure arthenian at birth, Dorin is the child of Tym and Hera Relithys, who were both partners in the Relithys law firm which specialized in intellectual property law.

Dorin, by all accounts, had a normal early childhood. He grew up in Lynpolis, a third-tier city in the Rovlin province where his parents practiced law. In middle school he developed severe behavioral issues, and spent 3 years in a military academy.

After high school Dorin attended Arthenia Republic University, initially as a music major with a piano focus but later changed and received a bachelor degree in military history. He briefly attended Officer Cadet's School (OCS) during post-graduate education, but did not complete the program. While working on his PhD in history Dorin became enthralled in a political/debate club on campus. He eventually abandoned his graduate degree to pursue law school. He specialized in constitutional law, and after joining a think-tank argued cases before the Supreme Court.

After several years as a constitutional litigator he ran and won a senate seat for Rovlin province.

Dorin was a middling-seniority senator when the FDC coup occurred. He initially condemned the act, but after the USC invasion was in full force participated in the “second coup” against the senate, where senators in another wave left the body to join factions they closer aligned with. At the FDC he was welcomed and negotiated the top post on the military council.

In less than a month, however, Dorin was disillusioned with the council and openly talked about a temporary coalition with the Senate to reverse the descent into chaos. Three days before the first Chaos Bomb destroyed Yu'ian Chairman Phylus asked for Dorin's resignation, something that was quickly and publicly given. He returned to Lynpolis to be with his family, but after the Agalos Miracle he soon became involved in the Rovlin Assembly. Still technically a citizen of the FDC, he sat on the FDC faction side, and served as it's representative several times.
