Largest military power of the outer sphere. Economic rights are guaranteed by imperial decree, with the exception of “royal patents” - whose holders (who include the imperial house itself) enjoy special economic favor.

The empire formally claims the outer belt and all worlds beyond it, though it actually controls only a percentage of that. It does, however, boast the biggest space fleets of the outer sphere; for all its faults it is reliable security when a human needs protection from pirates, the Material Sovereignty, or even Sanctuary.
