Overview
Second planet of the Nostos system, Illusa was a colony world lost from foldspace travel shortly after the Butlerian Jihad. Navigators at the time reported a 'mist' clouding the system, making travel functionally impossible. Rediscovered by navigators in 10,191 of the Imperial Era, the planet was the site for the Eriad War, also known as the Reintegration War.
Etymology
The planet is known locally with various linguistic renditions of “Illium.” This was first rendered into Galach as “Illusa” by Guild survey teams questioning indigenous people.
