Halser (Culture)

The Halser are a nomadic people found in many areas of the world. Halser culture emphasizes trade, wanderlust, artistry, hard work, and community. Their ancient homeland lost to time by a mythical “scattering”, cultural taboos speak against owning land or property that cannot travel. Lacking any claim to land of their own, the Halser instead travel the lands of other peoples organized as many caravan-nations. Many host peoples welcome the Halser for the exotic goods and high-quality services the Halser offer, with some societies relying on them completely as their merchant class. Others look upon them with more suspicion and mistrust, but wide-spread persecution is rare as the Halser simply avoid or move on from unfriendly areas.
