Rhemoani League

The Rhemoani League was a confederation of city-states in the Rehemoan Frontier that acted as a buffer state between the Republic of Agothos and Gyag.

Geography

History

Originating from the the Thema Rhemoani of the Republic of Agothos, the area was site of several battles during the Fourth Shard War, and was included in the list of buffer states created by the Treaty of Injunction. While the shards initially organized the region as the Kingdom of Rhemoan and installed a puppet Basileus, he proved so unpopular he was overthrown within a 7 years. While the usurpation initially sought re-integration into the republic, the senate feared intervention by the 39 Shards and refused to meet with delegates from the rebel government. The feared intervention never came, however, and left to their own fate the leaders of the various poleis met and drafted a charter for the Rhemoani League.
