Adama/James Kaios

Born Adama Kaios, a 5th age dythonian carpenter who converted to orthodoxy, taking the name James upon the event. Orthodox scripture claims he was sent by direct revelation to agothos to deliver prophecy and judgement against them, especially for the eleytherian persecution of budding orthodox communities there. He was martyred after an escalation of antagonism with the eleytherian hierarchy. After refusing to recant his faith for a final time he was crushed by a millstone.

Kaiotic prophecies are apocalyptic in style, and resonated strongly with the set-upon orthodox of the time. His sermons and prophecies were preserved and included in the orthodox Testament. Later in the 8th Age when orthodoxy overtook eleytherianism James became a favorite of the new Agathonian orthodox church as a locally revered figure, and was given a prominent focus.
