The year is AE240, over two centuries since the Cessation. Without direct contact with the Spiritual Realms, mankind has sought and found a new source for miracles - technology. Billions of people live in prosperity, but have become more divided than ever.

For a time the world was at relative peace, balanced on the pillars of three ideologies that shaped the world. In the east the constructionists of the USC embraced technology as a way to perfect mankind. In the south the Union Bloc feared the masses, and limited technological control to an elite who could properly manage societal changes. And in the north the Republic of Agathos stood for liberty - cherishing ancient ideas and faiths, yet openly welcoming the gifts of this new world.

But the equilibrium could not last. When the USC invaded an ally of Agathos, the republic backed down for the sake of peace. But Chariman Phylus, Agathos spymaster, swore his nation would never again abandon a free people. He engineered a second conflict. But like the ambitions of many great men, they turned to ash in his mouth. Desperate to force the government to support his Crusade for Liberty, Phylus launched a coup d'tat. Agathos descended into a bloody civil war, with the USC taking advantage to launch their own invasion. As the conflict grew to a fever pitch the USC used a new super-weapon, the Chaos Bomb, to annihilate the allied city of Yu'ian and its 10 million residents. Enraged, Phylus stole the plans to the weapon and sought to bring retribution on the enemy capitol.

Phylus was killed in the attempt, however, and a group led by national hero Reiko Arthen won a miraculous victory at the republic's capitol, Agalos City. The battle left unanswered questions about the Cessation, but the USC invasion was halted, if only for a time.

Two years have passed. The USC is now embroiled in a two-front war, and is stalled on both fronts. To crush Agathonian resistance while their civil war rages, months have been spent mustering men and material, including a new generation of heavy war mechs. On the eve of the fleet's departure, the forces of constructionism are being whipped up into a frenzy of blood-lust and rage.

Salutations! In anticipation of the launch of the Rush!Zed offensive District Processing has declared a day of celebration is to be held in the Eastern Military District.
Patriotic events will be held 240-10-31 from 19:00 to 23:00 across the district, and all members will be given 2 additional entertainment credits.
Work shifts will continue as scheduled. Complementary pizza will be provided at mid-shift meals.
