Iremia

  • Erihal: Ay-ree-mee-eh-ah

Goddess of peace and tranquility. Governs nature, sunrises and sunsets.

Mortal Interactions

Being a goddess of Good, Iremia rarely interferes directly in the affairs of men. She is an enigmatic figure and reveals little of herself through direct intervention. Her angels, sometimes called Wardens, are thought to be the most plentiful and known to mortals of all kinds. They may help broker peace treaties, guide a traveler lost in the wilderness, hunt down a researcher of necromancy, or simply console a person that has lost a loved one.

Religions

Though details are scarce about Iremia, she is widely worshiped by almost all non-evil religions. What they lack in answers about her nature they make up for with heavy use of symbols and stories. Though it is debatable, Iremia may affect people's lives the most directly. Thus it is common even in lands without organized religion around her to have small household shines in her honor.

The lack of hard evidence about anything relating to Iremia also leads to many apocryphal teachings. One particularly common theory states that Iremia was the wife of Chronos and that Psychi is their daughter. Iremic angels deny this repeatedly, stating that Iremia is simply the steward of nature, not the creator of it. Regardless of the frequency of their correction the belief has stubbornly persisted.
