Polemos
Polemos - the battlefield. From the first steps of man upon the world, to the age of swords and empires, to the glittering technological wonderland of the future, the world is at war. It is fallen, chaotic; filled with a curse that brings low the proud and grinds the weak to dust. But the world is not ruled by darkness, only marred by it. It is filled with hope, joy, and filled with a yearning for a Hero. One who is worthy to bear all burdens, and overcome all enemies. The one to save the world.

The Ages of Man
The history of Polemos is often split into ages, based on large world-changing events experienced by the majority of the human population. While the names and boundaries of these ages are by no means universally agreed upon, for the purposes of play and lore exploration they are considered standard. The names given below are based on those used by Universal Orthodoxy.
