Shapeshifter

Shapeshifters were born when the god of chaos could not maintain his existence and fractured into many pieces. These pieces have been stabilized by the natural order of Psychi, but they can change their outward and inward forms very easily. They are found in all corners of Polemos, usually employed as spies, assassins, or other professions where their talents are valued.

• No set physical attributes
• Will naturally shape themselves to fit into the society they are born into
• Can change physical features with varying degrees of control
• No average lifespan, they may suddenly die at any time- hours, days, years, or millennia
• Can reproduce sexually, though if they inter-breed the child is either shapeshifter or another race- there are no half-breeds. On rare occasion any race may give birth to a shapeshifter child. Gestation period is varied, but usually lies between 6 months to a year.

• Secret society
• Leader is the oldest Doppelganger
• Current leader claims to have the largest piece of Konran, the god of Chaos

• Each is a fragment of Konran, and inherently unstable
• The Konran may be “tempered,” or embued with more energy of Psychi. This will stabilize their soul, and usually gives them more command over their powers.
• Elder Doppelgangers may have undergone this procedure many times.
