====== Pashalik Entail Trust Company (PETC) ======
An Imperial corporation formed after the [[https://dune.fandom.com/wiki/Spacing_Guild|Spacing Guild]]'s rediscovery of [[dune:locations:illusa|Illusa]] for the purposes arbitrating the selection of a house to receive the planet as a fiefdom.
The company was formed due to conflicts in the [[https://dune.fandom.com/wiki/Landsraad|Landsraad]] risking instability among the Great Houses, leading the [[https://dune.fandom.com/wiki/Padishah_Emperor|Padishah Emperor]] [[https://dune.fandom.com/wiki/Shaddam_Corrino_IV|Shaddam Corrino IV]] to declare the Entail process.

===== Siridar-Trustee =====
The task of running Pashalik Entail, as well as the day-to-day operations of the trust fell to the Trustee.
The trustee was appointed by the Board of Directors and intended to serve for the whole duration of the Entail process.
During the Entail the Trustee also acted as the temporary governor of the planet on behalf of the Emperor, and so was often referred to as Siridar-Trustee.

===== Board of Directors =====
The Board of Directors appointed and provided oversight of the Trustee.
Members included the Padishah Emperor, members of the Great Houses, and representatives from [[https://dune.fandom.com/wiki/CHOAM|CHOAM]] and the Spacing Guild.

===== Entail Guard =====
The trust employed a large paramilitary force of Entail Guardsmen for the purposes of:
  - Providing security to the Entail process.
  - Protecting major economic assets of Illusa so the value of the entrusted fiefdom would not be harmed by conflict between Entail participants.

Each guardsman was deputized and had the force of Imperial law for the duration of the Entail.
The guard was under the sole command of the Trustee, and apart from company interests was officially sworn to neutrality.
