Agas

Second son of Nimas and survivor of the Worldbreak. Agas's lineage is commonly associated with nations that initially settled northern and western Polus, and most of western Undas. While individual peoples would develop physical features based on their environment and intermixing of families, Agasites are broadly known for lighter hair colors, brown or green or blue eyes, and light to olive skin.

In the days after the world was re-made, Agas led his people north as his father Nimas had commanded. Nimas his father blessed him and said, “Take your staff and your cloak, for you are going on a long journey. Go to the north and multiply in the land of the north. You have spoken peace to your brothers, and so he will bring you home, and will take your cloak and bring you into the feast. But look to the Star of the North. It will bring you to the land.” In those days the great forests where the dark ones lived were wide and deep, and any who entered were lost or eaten. But Agas was filled with the wisdom of his fathers, and built for the people boats for them to travel into the north. Upon the sea the people traveled.

Six days they traveled upon the sea and saw no land, but followed the Star of the North. And Arthas and Finas, twin sons of Agas, looked and saw that the sea was filled with dragons. And Arthas was not afraid, but Finas was afraid, but would not leave his brother. The people thirsted for water, but the water was not clean, for there were dragons in the waters. Arthas and Finas looked to the face of their father, Agas. And the storms came and the seas raged, but Agas took his staff in his hands. With his right hand Agas struck the dragons and led the people through the storms.

When the storm had passed the people found land and had rest. But Agas looked and saw no sign upon the land, and led the people again on the sea.

Six more days they traveled upon the sea and saw no land, but followed the Star of the North. Mali, third son of Agas, looked and saw that the swirling mist covered the sea, and Mali was afraid. The people hungered for bread and meat, but had none, for the air swirled around them and would not let them eat. And Mali hid his face from his father, Agas. And his ship was lost in the mist, therefore Mali would be lost in the land beyond the west, but that is told in another tale.

And again the people found land and had rest, but the ship of Mali was lost. But Agas again saw no sign upon the land, and led them on the sea once more.

Six days they traveled upon the sea and saw no land, but followed the Star of the North. Vogik, fourth son of Agas, looked and saw that Leviathan was in the sea, and Vogik was afraid. The people quarreled and struggled against each other, for Leviathan was in the sea. And Vogik looked to the face of his father, Agas. With his cloak Agas hid the people from Leviathan, and the ships passed safely to the land of the north.

And Agas saw the Star of the North come to rest on the land, and so Agas built his city there. And the land he called the White Horn, for upon it the light of the star was seen. Agas was filled with the wisdom of his fathers and placed his staff at the center of the city, and built the city at that place. With the star he forged a sword, so all the north was his domain. And he called the city Agolos, which means “City of Light.”

And the people multiplied and filled the north, but Malia was lost. Agas sent ships into the west to search for his lost son, but could not find him.
