====== 1st Age Lore Suggestions ======
Listed below are a few suggestions to take into consideration when writing lore for this age. 
Polemos is a vast world and there are often exceptions to the rule, so you do not have to follow these to the letter; rather these suggestions are focused on the themes or "spirit" that you should follow.

==== Only History ====
The 1st Age isn't really meant to be played in an RPG, or have long stories written about it. It is mainly for the benefit of giving back-story and context to the [[..:2nd Age:]]. In general make sure you leave enough narrative space changes in future ages to not invalidate 1st Age history. Nations/Cultures/Languages would probably change quite a bit between the 1st Age and their latter day equivalents, so make sure they are sufficiently different in the two settings. Also make sure that any technologies/magic you create won't need to be "rediscovered" unless it has a good reason.

==== Impossible Timeline ====
From the time humans began roaming our Earth, to the time civilization took hold was likely (from almost every account) thousands of years, if not more. The [[.:|1st Age]] only lasts around 3200 years total.  

This can be roughly explained through some outside source. Whether it's due the One True God, a pantheon of gods, or space aliens, things escalated really fast in the 1st Age. Humanity discovers they can bend the rules of nature (i.e. magic) very early on, and goes wild with a glut of spells for communication, construction, agriculture, and many other uses.

Because of this, feel free to have any changes you require happen at a faster pace than they would on Earth. Decades worth of progress can happen in just a few short years. That being said, these same influence can make some things, like peaceful coexistence with neighboring tribes either impossible or take extraordinarily long. Humanity's over-reliance on magic will also catch back up with them during the [[..:2nd Age]].

The 1st Age, more than any other, is an age of impossible deeds and larger-than-life characters.
