====== Olnmal Empire ======
The Olnmal Empire is a coastal state in eastern Centras.
It is lead by a totalitarian God-Emperor and depends on a very rigid caste system.
Known to be one of the more aggressive states in the region, it is also the famous for its reliance on slave labor and its ill treatment of those souls unfortunate enough to be claimed as "Servants of the God-Emperor."

==== Domerus Forest ====
The Domerus forest was once the home of the Erus people, who were among the first of Olnmal's neighbors to be brutally assimilated into the empire.
It happened centuries before the Olnmal began record-keeping, but tales say the forest is cursed by the ghosts of that bloody war.

==== Olnmal Interior ====
Somewhat misnamed, the Olnmal Interior features both the costal and inland areas of the northeastern part of Olnmal.
It is named as it is due to the fact that this was the ethnic homeland of the Olnmal people before they began conquering other peoples.
It is known for having rocky hills and gullies with thin grasses and other sparse vegetation.

A large expansive desert on the western half of Olnmal, [[polemos:4th_age:locations:the_void|the Void]] was named by the local tribes that inhabit it.
Named for its utter lack of landmarks or hospitality, it is said that those entering the wastelands are driven mad by the demons that roam it.

==== God-Emperor ====
The God-Emperor, who claims to be immortal, rules the Olnmal Empire as sole sovereign and dictator.
Legend says he was not born in the usual way, but a spirit combined from all the greatest heroes across time.
A group of Olnmal shamans merged their souls together to call this spirit and embody him in the physical realm.

That he sometimes seems to change appearance across the years is a topic that his subjects have learned not to express out loud.

==== The Black Sun ====
The Black Sun is the God-Emperor's personal intelligence service, and is tasked with finding and eliminating any disloyalty in the hierarchy.
Known to be merciless and seemingly omnipresent, they often pay or demand subjects to spy on their neighbors, friends, or even family members.
The Black Sun is also responsible for tracking down escaped slaves if the Black Guard loses their trail - though this occurrence is usually accompanied by the Black Sun targeting those who allowed the disgrace to happen in the first place.

===== Political Divisions =====
Olnmal has no formal provinces, but rather ever-shifting duchies who gain and lose land as the God-Emperor wills it.

===== Foreign Relations =====
Olnmal as a rule has a very isolationist stance with foreign countries.
The paranoia and distrust that plagues the upper parts of The Heirarchy breed similar feelings about outside "corruption" of the system.

==== Trade Cities ====
No private trading is allowed in Olnmal - all foreign merchants must trade with the state.
What's more, licensed foreign traders may only do business in special designated cities.
There are currently only 3: [[polemos:4th_age:locations:the_white_port|The White Port]], [[polemos:4th_age:locations:olnmal|Olnmal]], and [[polemos:4th_age:locations:senmal_ik|Senmal'ik]].
Traveling to other locations is expressly forbidden.
