Therylthos is a tributary state of the [[polemos:4th_age:factions:39_shards|39 Shards]] created by the [[polemos:4th_age:factions:agothos#treaty_of_injunction|Treaty of Injunction]], meant to deprive the [[polemos:4th_age:factions:agothos|Republic of Agothos]] of the former //Thema Therylia's// metal exports.
The state was ruled by a single //basileus//, beginning with the Zeriphon dynasty, who ostensibly ruled with absolute authority but would frequently defer to the counsel of his shard-provided emissary.
Due to the absolute rule, many outside the kingdom would derisively refer to the Zeriphons as //tyrannis//, and folk songs mocking their rule were crowd favorites both inside the kingdom and south in the republic.
