Gaius Seelix

Gaius Seelix is a retired Anthegalian Gunslinger. Widely known in Anthegalia under the stage name “Lucky Luke”, Gaius has since retired from his entertainment days and left Anthegalia in pursuit of real adventure.

Born to an upper-middle class Anthegalian family, Gaius' parents spent much of their financial and social resources trying to ensure that Gaius received the best that Anthegalia had to offer. When Gaius started in High School, he was teased about his family's status and heritage. It was then that he realized how much his family sacrificed for him. As he continued his way through High School, he swore that he would repay his parents back. After Gaius graduated, he did not have a high paying position waiting for him, like most of his fellow graduates.

He took a job at a gunslinger show as a janitor. Every week, he watched the gunslingers perform. He was intrigued by their skills with the revolver and the crowds that came to see this now ancient art. Slowly, he began to friend a gunslinger named “Albert 'Red' Thompson”. Through this relationship, Gaius became Red's apprentice. After a few years, Gaius began performing on his own under the name “Luke”.

One night after weeks and weeks of practice, Red was ready to unveil a new trick shot he had been working on. The trick involved taking a volunteer from the audience, placing them in front of a target, and then shooting the target seemingly through the volunteer's head. Unknown to Gaius, and the audience, this was accomplished by using magic to curve the bullet around the volunteer's head. Gaius, excited to see his friend's new trick, volunteered himself. After getting everything setup, Red took his shot. Instantly Gaius hit the ground and Red knew something was terribly wrong. He rushed over to Gaius, but no blood was on the ground. Gaius stood up and when he opened his mouth to say that he was not wounded, a perfectly shaped bullet fell out of his mouth. On that day, he earned the name “Lucky Luke”.

After years of Gunslinging, Gaius had honed his skills and became the top sharpshooter in all of Anthegalia. Soon after achieving this goal, Gaius grew tired of the life he was living. In many ways it became too hectic for doing daily shows consumed his time. Still seeking adventure, he left his predictable life and ventured out of Anthegalia.

Gaius soon continued his wandering after The Chaos Miracle, but in AE 267 he would find a semi-permanent home in northern Agathos among the Anthegal communities that were common there. He would eventually become a successful late-night variety vid-show host. He would receive accolades for his “contribution to Anthegalia abroad” from his home nation in the form of symbolic land & title. Eventually though his wanderlust returned and he continued to wander the world as a treasure hunter/college professor/archeologist, and would eventually die on his greatest adventure of them all.
