====== Kaida len'Kandev ======

Kaida len'Kandev is a 21-year-old female drakontal trained primarily in swordsmanship and magical healing. She is 6'2", slender and pretty with short black hair and [[wp>Olive_skin|olive skin]]. Her horns are a blueish gray color and stick out from her head more than a female's normally would. She is tough but compassionate and shares an intimate bond with her pet momonga, [[.:Moko-tan]], whom she carries with her everywhere, even on the battle field.

===== A Brief History =====

Kaida is the youngest generation in a very old, traditional military family. Without any brothers to go in her stead, she was trained from a young age in the arts of swordsmanship and magic so she could enter the Drakontas army when she finished high school. Although Kaida excelled at both of her disciplines, she held no desire for entering the military. It had been her dream for a long time to complete veterinary medical school and become a veterinarian. Her family, of course, was disappointed in her conflicting career choice and gave her an ultimatum: honor her family by serving in the military like her fathers before her, or dishonor them and face disownment. Her desire to become a vet someday was strong, but she decided a relationship with her parents tainted with resentment was better than none at all and a couple of weeks later she joined the military. After her training primarily as a medic and a few years experience, her family made arrangements, without her consultation, to have her sent to Agathos to assist with a coup against the government which was taking place there. There, she was placed into a special ops unit because of her high intelligence and discipline as well as her family ties.

===== Epilogue =====
After [[..:Events:The Chaos Miracle]] Kaida served as a military surgeon in [[..:Factions:Republic of Agathos|Agathos]], and would eventually return to [[..:Factions:Drakontas]] having served her military duty with honor.  She would complete research on the strange plant she found in [[..:Locations:Old Asern]], which would turn out to have very powerful regenerative properties once refined.  Her corporation soon began creating [[..:Technologies:Emergency Med-packs]] for militaries and emergency-responding groups around the world.  This led directly to an increase of wounded soldier survival rates from 48% to around 60%.  She would serve for some years as Drakontas's Minister of Health, and later in AE 285-7 Kaida would lead the [[..:Factions:ufpf|Federation's]] diplomatic effort to annex Drakontas.  Due in part to Kaida's efforts, [[..:Races:Dragoons]] would give up their sovereignty without bloodshed for the first time in history.  After her retirement from public life she used her sizable fortune to open an combined animal/human hospital.
