[[polemos:8th_age:characters:merlynik_phylus|Lt General Phylus]] stages a military coup in the [[polemos:8th_age:factions:republic_of_agathos|Republic of Agathos]] plummeting the UA’s primary member-state into civil war. The UA dissolves and Polus descends into a free-for-all among former centuries-old allies. The USC takes this opportunity to make a massive land grab in the Western Hemisphere. The Unity Protectorate Bloc in turn declares war on the USC and attacks them in their lightly defended colonies in the Tribal Development Area. In addition many nations in the south form the Southern Centrian Liberation Coalition, and push into the Western and Southern Military Districts of the USC.
