Through barge trading it grew large and wealthy. In modern times Dolmapolis gained the reputation as a haven for government employees that wanted to avoid the slums of the inner city, but were not connected enough to afford to live under the dome of [[.:Galapolis]]. During the Long War Dolmapolis took on strategic value once again due to its bridges.
