====== Ravenhold ======
Ancestral seat of power of the Warick family, Ravenhold in ancient times was a fortress-city that protected Filos from the north and was the site of many historical battles. The city briefly claimed de'jure stature as the eastern capital during the dual monarchy before the cessation, but otherwise has been dwarfed politically by the Heraldshire's [[.:Granton]]. The city has a long martial tradition, and is known for its world class military academy. The fact that Ravenhold has never been taken by an assault is a source of Filonian national pride.

During the Rovton War Ravenhold was the last city to hold out to Agathonian forces, effectively bypassed and besieged for the entire conflict. To the Filonian mind these events are still seen as symbol of defiance to foreign invasion.

During the Long War Ravenhold became the headquarters for the [[polemos:8th_age:factions:rfdf|RFDF]] after it was clear that Granton would suffer repeated and prolonged sieges by the Senate and [[polemos:8th_age:factions:fpa|FPA]].
