Even though Nordis turned your last attack into a propaganda victory, General Clellic still sent a runner to express his compliments on keeping the industrial mechs from reaching their destination. The cash gained from their sale is enough to fund operations for about a month, and the General wants to take the opportunity to pull the various militias together for a bold regiment-level attack.

Fort Stephson is home to several units of regulars as well as Republican Guard. More importantly, it's the site of the Nordis Officer's Academy. The officer's school has become a political tool for the regime, so a victory here will carry symbolic meaning. We've been designated as Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion while in the combined regiment structure.

We attack at 0900 Lamba, an hour after all civilian contractors should be off shift. 3rd Battalion's mission will be to attack from the west, providing an anvil for 1st Battalion's armor to hammer against. The western approach to the fort is bordered by a large irrigation canal except a small vehicle bridge at the gate. Beta through Delta companies will hold the North-South highway that runs along the canal and provide cover fire while our company attacks over the bridge. The bridge is not sturdy enough to support the weight of mechs, but the irrigation canal is too deep for non-mechs to cross. Hold the gate and any base territory you need until 1st Battalion launches yellow flares. Then fall back across the canal and destroy the bridge. If 1st Battalion cannot complete the pincer maneuver they will pop green flares and retreat. If instead they use red flares it means they will advance and may link up with you- so watch out for friendly units.

We'll also be embedding reporters from the KAP within Alpha Company and others to provide documentation in case Nordis tries to manipulate the event again. To this end, it's imperative the reporters are assigned to units that will have a good view of the fighting, and that they survive to validate their footage. It goes without saying that with the press embedded we need to prevent any civilian casualties. Civilians inside the fort should be few, but building damage should be kept to an minimum just in case.
