Briefing
Time sensitive intelligence has caused General Clellic to activate our unit ahead of schedule. The tip is sourced and confirmed by multiple foreign services. Two days from now a shipment of Industrial Mechs will land at Harris Spaceport, supplied to Nordis by the Titan Empire. IMs are essential to Nordis's attempts to move mech construction in-house- if he can secure military hardware without costly shipping he'll walk all over the smaller nations and our little rebellion won't last long.
The shipment will be heavily guarded at the spaceport, and by the time it arrives in its destination city of Erlendom risk of civilian casualties will be too high for a direct attack. The best opportunity is at Peresson Junction- a regional magrail station where there will be a one hour time window while mixed cargo is offloaded. The train arrives at 0230 Lambda- just after planet-rise and 2 hours before sunrise.
The rail network serves civilian traffic and so should be left undamaged. The station control room can keep the train from leaving, and all infantry platoons have been briefed on basic magrail control operation. Pilots from the Storm Skulls will be available to walk the IMs off for extraction and will handle the smuggling of the IMs to more friendly hands. If the IMs cannot be commandeered, remember that we absolutely cannot allow Nordis to keep them.
Peresson Junction is also close to the Bervlen Holding Facility- a prison used to house political prisoners before they are transported to one of the larger camps. If the opportunity presents itself liberate the facility and provide secure transportation to freedom.
A flight of Storm Skulls has been hired for close air support to deal with reinforcements.
