Granton
Upon arriving in the Filonian capital Granton, Seraphim Squad found the city under martial law and heavy security. Meeting with an associate of the ranger Silvertongue, a parliamentary aide named Terry Faster, to gain access to members of parliament. Hoping to convince parliament to lead a movement to resist the King's order for Radical, Total War, they met with MP Harry McDoyle. While their message was well-received, the parliament was in the process of dissolving and thus could not act in an organized fashion. Undeterred, they directed the MP to gather whatever support he could individually and rally to the ancient stronghold of Ravenhold where the Filonians stood the best chance at a last stand.
Seraphim Squad then prepared to travel west to the Filonian High Command; they would have to travel slowly overland given the USC air superiority in the area. They also made a stop in a local pub to do a little local recruiting for their Ravenhold plan. Confronted quickly by Agent G of His Majesty's Secret Service, they discovered that support for the King's call for national suicide was not blind, but support for the King's authority still carried deep loyalty. G forbade the rangers from speaking against the King's plan, but let them continue unmolested out of Granton.
The Fall of Filos

Given the chance that it was a distress signal, they investigated further with one of their IFVs. Approaching a farm named Misty Hills, they found a mass grave site and a pair of murdered World Action Foundation charity workers, who were killed trying to identify remains. Venturing further into the site they found the fields poisoned, and came to a central farmhouse. Meeting the old farmer Icabod he readily confessed to the killings of the WAF workers, and told them to move on because “he needed to prepare for the real enemy.” Leaving Icabod to some future justice, Seraphim Squad found the site was rigged with large fertilizer explosives.
Arriving at Rovingham the rangers entered Filonian High Command, a series of tunnels and bunkers built below the bombed out town. Meeting with General Edward Proudfoot, Northern Army Group Commander, they sought to find an arrangement that would allow the army to cease their Pyrrhic advances, fall back to Ravenhold, and coordinate with the ARC. But they found they were not immune to the political rift between Filos and their Arthenian cousins. It had caused the death of many such talks in the past, and after heated words the general had them removed from the bunker.
Out in the cold in more ways than one, Seraphim squad redoubled their efforts. The ranger Nexus was able to befriend one Elizabeth
