Eleytheros Anistemi

“Liberty Rises”, or “Rise Up, Liberty”

“This fallen world is a maelstrom. Crashing against the beach it washes away countless souls into its foaming, drowning darkness of fear and envy. In its waters we are all made into beasts. Deeper still are monsters- war; injustice; tyranny. You cannot stop the maelstrom, for it is the law of our world. No, our best hope is the shelter of the rocks- individuals that use nothing but their will to stand against the storm, reaching up towards their better natures for the benefit of those around them. In rising up they are assaulted and battered by the winds, but to them this is preferable to cowering in the sands. We are the rocks, and in standing together we become the mountain- who yields to no storm.” -Passage from Anistemi Ekphaino

A group dedicated to the championing of Peace, Justice, Righteousness, and most importantly- Freedom. Sometimes shortened to just “The Anistemi”, members are typically called Agents. Invitation into the group can only be obtained with the blessing of Eleytheria herself and thus Sek-Agkelos from her Nest are heavily represented, though mortals are welcomed into the group as well. New agents are often sworn to anonymity- carrying out their duties without fanfare and in plain clothes. When in combat hidden agents wear gray cloaks with a bundle of white feathers attached at the hood. Agents may still serve even if their identity is discovered, and sometimes out themselves once they take a leadership position in the group.

The group is commanded by Illyian, who not only provides leadership but also works with the Sek-Agkelos and other sympathetic members to seek the spiritual restoration of his race.

It is also interesting to note that while the Anistemi's first goal is protect individual Liberty, it is a staunch defender of ideals that closely align with the Holy Ones. For this reason they often informally work alongside full Agkelos and have gained their respect, if not their acceptance.

Sek-Agkelos reasonably translates to “Angels of Chaos” or “Lost Angels.” The Sek-Agkelos members of the Anistemi, therefore, often choose to refer to themselves as “Vah-Agkelos” meaning “Angels of Hope” instead.
