Background
Victoria IV - a hot, rocky, grassy planet known for rich greenhouse agriculture and rich mineral deposits. It is sometimes called “Bastion” as the last bit of major civilization before entering the frontier zone of sparsely populated agriculture worlds that borders the Lannik Wilds.
Victorians are fiercely independent, often politically radical, and quite possibly seditious. Nearly 40% of the male population fought in the Clone Wars for the Republic under the so-called Victory Regiment, which was nearly annihilated in fighting in the Core Rim. The losses during the clone wars left the population enraged, the planetary alliance was overthrown, a new constitution was written with the delegates under duress of mob violence, and the first Imperial official to step foot on Victoria was sent home forcibly shaved, covered in adhesive slime and large thorny burrs. While the empire did eventually restore order without major fighting, it was only through an implicit agreement to not deal with the Victorians with too heavy a hand.
