Light in the Outer Darkness: GM Area

The Emperor is dead. Though the victory at Endor ended years of oppression, peace did not follow. Fractured Imperial forces continue to resist the fledgling NEW REPUBLIC, their commanders vying over territory to carve out personal fiefdoms.

In this chaotic time, Luke Skywalker, hero of the rebellion, has withdrawn from public life to reform the JEDI ORDER. At his academy on Yavin IV a new generation trains to use THE FORCE and serve as warriors of justice and peace.

Lacking in experience and few in number, Skywalker has bestowed the title of JEDI KNIGHT on those capable enough to teach others. Sent to the darkest reaches of space, these new knights search for those willing to join their stand against evil in all its forms.

Teacher - Ponque Murá

• middle aged human male, droid mechanic by trade
• Born on Coruscant, failed jedi test as child/washed out at youngling stage several years before Order 66
• On Imperial ban list (not the initial ones) due to Jedi connection, fled to Hutt space.
• Eventually made way to Mon Cal, where he joined the rebellion as a starfighter flight crew. Served on Independence during Battle of Endor.
• Found by Luke after Endor and brought him to train at Yavin. Found his weak attenuation to the Force was strengthened through sweat and perseverance.
• 2 years later, part of first class of Jedi knights to be sent to find and train others.
• Uses green lightsaber.
• Ship name - Stirling Mynock

Teacher's Droid - CL-4NK

• Maintenance multilimb repulsor droid, heavily customized
• Speaks in beeps, only Ponque can understand (or skill check)
• wild mood swings, often sarcastic in personality

Planet of Catanabara

• Outer Rim - Albarrio Sector
• Tidal winds with ancient ruins that protect 'the island' - ancient ruins eliminate all winds a circle centered on the sound pole twilight. Gravity 1.4x standard gives a setback on all physical tasks and jagged mountains that lack any erosion have an upgraded difficulty to climb them.
• Natives - Qi'an live on the light side, stout humanoids with mocha skin and translucent ultraviolet irises and hair. They live in cliffside dwellings and use internal irrigation to cool buildings.
• Natives - Kaji'vana live on the dark side, short lanky quadrupedal lizard people that live in underground nests and use geothermal vents for heat.
