Literally meaning “Words of Truth” in Aeseri'Nush the Kaliv'Nush is the home religion and grounding philosophy of the Aeserian Empire. In addition to being a religion worshiping the “Four Holies” of Chronos, Erihal, Symponia, and Iremia; it is also a complicated social caste system and prolific moral philosophy and etiquette system. It is a very holistic religion - it tells a person how they should act in all circumstances: how they should act towards the divine, how they should act towards their fellow man, and how they should act towards themselves. Sometimes, for example to make the religious message more palatable towards people squeamish of caste societies, the teachings are split into two categories: the “Haiuch'Nush” or “Noble Words” and the “Laia'Nush” or the “Common Words”. The Haiuch'Nush deal strictly with religious and philosophical matters, which the Laia'Nush contain all laws and social norms to follow. Thus the former can be evangelized to places that might otherwise be very wary if the later were included in the teachings.
“Aeseri” in modern times refers simply to the empire or ancient homelands of the ethnic group by that name. It comes from the root word “Aeser”- meaning “Guardian Spirit”, or “Guardian Saint”, which are the most revered entities in the Nurishal caste below the gods.
