Therylthos

The Metal Must Flow

Therylthos is a tributary state of the 39 Shards created by the Treaty of Injunction, meant to deprive the Republic of Agothos of the former Thema Therylia's metal exports. The state was ruled by a single basileus, beginning with the Zeriphon dynasty, who ostensibly ruled with absolute authority but would frequently defer to the counsel of his shard-provided emissary. Due to the absolute rule, many outside the kingdom would derisively refer to the Zeriphons as tyrannis, and folk songs mocking their rule were crowd favorites both inside the kingdom and south in the republic.
