The Eleytheros Pteros Episke (or more simply: Pteros) was a faction started by UFPF ranger Lynnis "Lion" Utherson in AE 241 to act as a bulwark against defeatism in agathos against the USC. While most initial members were rangers, any person could join as long as they adhered to the creed set forth by Utherson and swore an oath to uphold it until death.
