Baal

• Dark Overlord of Thymos

Baal, whose name means “Lord” or “Master”, an arch-demon known for his favor towards possession and torture mortals from the inside of their souls. He is also the elder brother of Mithradeth, who for many centuries served by his side.

Baal commanded great slave armies into battle for Thymos during the Great War. During one battle he was mortally wounded, however, and with the help of his brother retreated into the lands of Brecilon to hide and recover. He has betrayed by his sibling and left to die.

Baal hid in a dormant volcano for eons to slowly heal himself. The mortal lands changed around him, until 4E 1254 he was able to trick the Dythonians into bringing him materials necessary to take physical form again. For a single night he unleashed his fury on the people of Genopolis until members of the Vestiges of Light (in the Alpha and Omega campaign) were able to raise the cities defenses against his hellish army and slay him with holy artifacts.
